Spa FAQs

Are the Spa facilities private?

Vitality Spa is located within the grounds of Wrightington Country Club, therefore leisure facilities are used by members of the club.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we recommend that you book as far in advance as possible for all treatments or spa days to avoid disappointment.

When do I have to pay?

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking for all Spa Days and some treatments, with the balance payable on arrival.

Can I book online?

We believe in the personal touch and want to make sure that you enjoy your experience with us; we offer such a variety of packages and treatments that’s why we prefer it if you call to book. It also means we can let you know exactly what we can provide, so that we can help to create the perfect spa visit for you.

I have a medical condition, am I still OK to visit?

It is essential you let us know at the time of booking about any medical conditions or allergies so we can ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

Can I visit if I'm pregnant?

For ladies in the first trimester we offer nail treatments or waxing only. Any time after this we offer a wide range or treatments, but please call the salon to discuss your individual needs.

Are there any age restrictions?

Our Spa Days, massages and facials are reserved for adults, 16 years and over. Nail treatments can be performed for under 16s, when they are accompanied by an adult.

What is included on my Spa Day?

We will provide use of robe, towel and slippers and a personal locker.

What do I need to bring for my Spa Day?

Spa Day guests will need to bring swimwear to use our wet facilities, and gym attire if wishing to use our gymnasium. Flip flops may also be required if you are having a pedicure.

I have a treatment booked, am I able to use the Spa facilities?

Yes, you may use the Spa facilities, however there is an additional cost of either £15 (includes access to facilities and relaxation room, and use of robe towel and slippers) or £10 (just access to facilities).

Do you have a cancellation policy?

As courtesy to our therapists, you may cancel or re-arrange your booking anytime up to 48 hours prior, otherwise we reserve the right to charge the full amount for treatment.

Where can I park?

We have free on-site parking, located on the car park to the right of the hotel.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, they are available for either a specific treatment or monetary amount. They can be posted out for a charge of £1.20.


Food & Drink

Is food and drink included on my Spa Day?

Yes, your spa day allows you the choice of either a 2 course lunch or afternoon tea and a soft drink served in the Wrightington Hotel. A glass of prosecco can be added for £2.95. Our relaxation room also provides a selection of teas, soft drinks and coffee.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

Unfortunately, we do not allow outside food to be brought to the salon. Food and drink can be purchased from the Atrium Café. Alternatively, you can add either our 2 course lunch or afternoon tea to any treatment at a cost of £14pp.

Is alcohol allowed in the Spa?

Alcohol is not permitted within the salon, pool or gymnasium facilities. It may only be consumed within the restaurant or hotel areas.

Do you cater for food allergies/dietary requirements?

Yes. We will ask the question at the time of booking so that restaurant can adapt something on our menu or create a suitable alternative.

Do I need to pre-order food?

We will need to know 24 hours prior to your arrival for your Spa Day whether you would prefer the 2 course lunch or afternoon tea. Other than this, we generally do not require pre-order.

What do I need to wear to dine in the restaurant?

The restaurant is not for private use of spa guests, so there may be outside guests dining. The choice is yours as to whether you would prefer to wear your robe, or get dressed.
